ARCServe 6 For Windows NT

Backup for the Future

Are you ready for Windows NT 4.0? ARCServe 6 for Windows NT is. The enterprise backup and recovery program will integrate with NT 4.0 and remain backward compatible with NT 3.51. The new ARCServe version has the Windows 95 look and feel, and supports the "right mouse button" context menu handler, icon handler, and a property sheet handler.

ARCServe's new media management incorporates automated tape rotation and media pooling. Options include a Disaster Recovery (DR) program, image backup and RAID. When you create a disaster recovery boot disk, you can recover your server data without reinstalling NT and ARCServe. Its image backup function bypasses the file system and reads in data directly.

BorderWare Firewall Server 4.0

Erect a Firewall for Protection

Keeping your network safe from intruders takes just as much vigilance as protecting the borders of your country. BorderWare Firewall Server 4.0 helps you win those border wars with its advanced security and management functions. The suite of third-generation firewalls provides Web-based remote management, advanced Virtual Private Network (VPN) functions and Secure Server Network (SSN) enhancements.

BorderWare 4.0's Java applets poll the firewall for data and provide real-time dynamic management functions. The Java-based platform lets you manage and configure firewalls anywhere on the network from your management station. The program's public key encryption and dual authentication provide privacy and data integrity. It supports encrypted data transfer speeds over 56Kbps and T1 connections.

The firewall server uses a Secure Server Net to thwart hackers. A third LAN segment that is protected from the Internet and isolated from the internal network, the Secure Server Net runs independently of the internal network but appears to outsiders to be running off the firewall.
