EZDesk 1.7

If your meticulously arranged desktop icons have ever been messed up by a Windows 95 glitch, you may find this program useful. EZDesk saves your desktop configuration so you can restore your desktop to its original layout. EZDesk also gives you a quick and easy way to clear various history lists, run recent programs, and hide or minimize all open windows.

FinePrint

FinePrint will save you time and paper by squeezing two, four or eight printed pages on a single sheet. Fine Print is installed as a printer driver on your system. To run it, you merely print to the Fine Print driver from any application. Then, a dialog box will allow you to set the reduction size and determine which printer it will physically print. Since FinePrint uses the printer's original drivers, the print quality is unaffected.

Since Netscape doesn't provide a decent bookmark organizer with Navigator, Sextant is a welcome addition for any Web surfer. Sextant provides a drag-and-drop interface to arrange bookmarks in a logical order. Create headers and drag your links to them to form a hierarchy. It even allows you to assign hotkeys to URLs.

Have you ever wanted to set up your own special interest mailing list? Well, now you can. All you need is a dial-up e-mail account on an ISP and SVList. The program comes with sample documents such as a welcome message for new subscribers, and digest headers and footers. SVMail/SMTP

SVMail is a simple e-mail client built around an autoreply feature. Just associate a text file to a keyword that SVMail will look for in an incoming e-mail message, and you're all set. I personally find it useful for telling those unsolicited, get-rich-quick, bulk e-mailers to take a hike.

ZipFolders 1.0

ZipFolders automatically displays a zip archive's contents in a folder with a .ZIF extension. With this program, you will no longer need to extract the contents into a temporary directory before installing a program. ZipFolders allows you to access all archived files as if they were in a separate directory. You can copy, move and delete programs from a zip folder transparently.
