The unit measures a mere 1.2 by 11.7 by 9.2 inches. An enhancement unit includes an 8X CD-ROM, an internal floppy disk drive, stereo speakers and a MIDI/joystick port. The LifeBook 635T also has a touchpad, PCMCIA card locks for security, a second battery option that provides up to four hours of power, and infrared capability. The display supports 800x600-pixel resolution.

The Fujitsu LifeBook 500 series of notebooks offers 150MHz, 133MHz or 120MHz Pentiums, 8MB or 16MB of RAM, 810MB or 1.3GB hard drives, 11.3- or 12.1-inch displays, 2MB of VRAM, 6X CD-ROMs and GlidePoint touchpads.
