What is known as SmartMedia in Japan has a less-catchy name in the United States, but SSFDC (solid state floppy disk card) is becoming the new global standard for small-form-factor storage media. The SSFDC is one-third the size of a credit card, and inserts directly into an SSFDC connector and an adapter card.
