Jazz It Up

-- by Richard Castagna

Slip a little jazz into your PC with Herbie Hancock Presents Living Jazz. Roaming the 3-D streets of old Chicago, you'll enjoy the music and vintage film clips of classic acts. At the corner newstand you can read the latest (circa 1920) newspaper stories about jazz. If your virtual feet get tired, give 'em a rest in the Gallery, where you can view famous performances like videos of Bill "Bojangles" Robinson doing his famous stair dance or Billie Holiday teaming up with Lester Young on "Fine and Mellow." There's a lot to learn and enjoy for both jazz aficionados and neophytes. You'd be wise to follow the orders given by one of Al Capone's goons in a Chicago night spot: "You boys keep playing if you don't want to get hurt."
