Cheryl Currid's column on ergonomics (Windows at Work, November 1996) was interesting. We all spend a lot of time at our PCs. A hand surgeon told me about Ergo-Break software, which reminds PC users to take a break from their keyboarding, do a hand or neck exercise, or just refocus their eyes toward a far-away object. The reminder pops up automatically after 1,800 keystrokes, or the user can set a timer. The program can be customized to remind users of any particular problem they are experiencing, whether it is neck, sitting position, eyes or hands. Arnelle Sanford via the Internet
