Don't break your New Year's resolution to stay in touch. The IPC i2i Encounter 2-D video adapter card provides two-way audio and video over standard telephone lines. Its videoconferencing kit includes the iSpy high-quality video camera and VDOPhone Internet software. Encounter works with a standard 28.8Kbps analog dial-up modem, or through Internet or intranet links. It has 2MB of EDO DRAM and 2-D DirectDraw acceleration, supports graphic resolutions up to 1280x1024 pixels and provides simultaneous full-motion video-capture functionality. If you don't need graphics acceleration, the IPC i2i Portal provides the same full-motion video capture with your existing VGA adapter card. It includes a PCI Bus Master, the VDOPhone software and an optional camera. Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0, bundled with the cards, adds NetMeeting and digital whiteboard features to VDOPhone.
