Users say U.S. Robotics' WinModem 14.4 and 28.8 products only work after many reboots. One work-around: Boot straight to DOS, change to your WinModem folder, run WMDIAG.EXE, select option 2 to match the base address and IRQ used for the modem in Win95, exit, and start Windows without rebooting.
