It's fast, it's easy, and it has a worldwide reach-so it's no wonder e-mail is quickly becoming the preferred method of correspondence. If you need to get a message to someone whose address you don't know, don't despair. You may be able to find it at one of the new Web directory services. You'll need to know the person's name, of course; other information you have (such as domain name) will help narrow your search. Four11 (http://www.four11.com) is a free online e-mail address search directory and listing service. The site boasts more than 7 million e-mail address listings, as well as addresses for personal Web pages and digital business cards. Yahoo's People Search service taps into Four11's listings. WhoWhere? (http://www.whowhere.com) is another e-mail address directory. You can add your own name and e-mail address to its directory. Another directory, internet @ddress.finder (http://www.iaf.net), claims to have more than 5.5 million listings. NetPages (http://www.aldea.com) is a more modest affair, but you can include your address in its listing, too. You can find other online e-mail address directories by using a search engine. Once you find them-and the ones listed here-add your e-mail address to their listings. If you're concerned about privacy, check each site's policies on confidentiality.
