Windows on the Web
It's been said people spend most of their time working in their word processor or spreadsheet programs. If you use Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3, you'll find plenty of Web sites that offer tips, tutorials and FAQ files. A good starting point for Excel users is Microsoft Corp.'s Excel Page (http://www.microsoft.com/msexcel) where, in addition to tips, you get a preview of Excel 97. Baarns Publishing (http://www.baarns.com) offers tutorials in Excel workbook format. You can virtually attend Cornell University by visiting the college's Excel 5.0 Quick Tip Sheet. You'll find it at http://courses.sha.cornell.edu/isd/excel5.html. Lotus 1-2-3 users can visit Lotus' site (http://www.lotus.com/123/2162.htm) for ScreenCam previews of Lotus 1-2-3 97. Download files that include a ScreenCam viewer or download the viewer first and then the smaller demo files. Check out Lotus' FAQ files for 1-2-3 at http://www.support.lotus.com/csswww/123.htm or try its Knowledgebase (http://orionweb.lotus.com/basic.html), where you can search for 1-2-3 help.
