Letters
I've been following the debate about reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling the software (Letters, January). Some people might think it's no big deal and consider it a confidence-builder in preparation for when a real disaster happens. But without considerable forethought to all the little things I've customized, it would be as much fun for me as running my car into a tree and repairing it as practice for the time when it might happen accidentally.
