Stay light on your feet with IBM's ThinkPad 760 notebook series. The IBM ThinkPad 760XL and ThinkPad 760XD feature a 166MHz Pentium with Intel's MMX technology. The 760XL has 16MB of EDO RAM (expandable to 104MB), a 2.1GB hard drive and 1MB of VRAM. The 760XD ships with 32MB of RAM, a 3GB hard drive, 2MB of VRAM and an 8X CD-ROM drive. Both units have a 12.1-inch TFT display.

The Hitachi Mx-166T notebook ships with a 166MHz Pentium with MMX, an integrated 33.6Kbps cellular modem and a 10BaseT Ethernet LAN port on its motherboard. Weighing only 7.25 pounds, the Mx-166T includes a 12.1-inch TFT active-matrix display, 16MB of RAM, a 2.1GB hard drive, Altec Lansing stereo speakers and a 64-bit graphics accelerator. Its built-in 8X CD-ROM drive can be swapped with a floppy drive or second lithium ion battery.
