How much degaussing does your monitor need? You should only degauss if you see color purity problems on your CRT. Otherwise, it is unnecessary. If the degauss button does not clear up the color problems on its first try, adjust the purity/color. Too much degaussing will result in stressed-out circuitry components, which are designed for infrequent use.
