Instead of carrying stacks of paperwork in your briefcase, put them in your pocket. The pocketsized Nomai 540 removable hard drive provides unlimited storage expandability using high-capacity 540MB disks. Designed for portability, the external Nomai 540 weighs less than 2 pounds and measures 1.25 by 4.25 by 7 inches. Available in parallel (external only) or SCSI (internal or external) interfaces, it has a 10ms seek time, a 5.3MBps transfer rate and a mean time of 250,000 hours between failures. The drive accepts 540MB Nomai disks and 270MB SyQuest-compatible cartridges. Its backward compatibility allows multimedia professionals to upgrade a SyQuest hard drive to a faster, higher-capacity removable storage drive and still keep their old disks. Nomai USA includes a 540MB cartridge with a five-year warranty; the drive itself has a two-year warranty.
