Intel NetportExpress Pro/100
Sensitive Print Manager

Even print servers have Intel inside these days. The Intel NetportExpress PRO/100 links a parallel printer directly to any 10BaseT or 100Base-TX network and automatically senses whether the network is running at 10Mbps or at 100Mbps.

The print server's bidirectional communication alerts end users or network administrators when the printer requires toner or suffers a page jam.

Intel's print server also includes the company's Netport Manager, a utility that supports the DMI (Desktop Management Interface) and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) networking standards, and integrates with Intel's LANDesk Management Suite or Hewlett-Packard OpenView. Netport Manager supports installation, management and configuration of all Intel print servers from a central workstation.

NetportExpress PRO/100 supports Windows for Workgroups, Windows 3.11, 95 and NT, as well as NetWare, UNIX and AppleTalk networks. Multiple frame types, including 802.2, 802.3, TYPE II and SNAP, are also supported.
