Let them see the whites of your eyes with the Panasonic EggCam. This oval-shaped desktop video camera lets you create and send a personal video message to any PC. Bundled with SmithMicro's VideoLink Mail software, the EggCam will compress a 2-minute video into a 1MB file and send it as an e-mail attachment. No special hardware or software is required for playback. Measuring 3.2 by 1.6 by 1.8 inches, the unit rests on a tilt-and-swivel base on top of your PC monitor. With its adjustable-focus lens, the EggCam produces images with 542x496 pixels and 330 TV lines of horizontal resolution, and can capture subjects as close as 3.9 inches.
