Windows on the Web
WinMag On the Web
Winmag.com's Power Upgrade

-- by Paul Silverman

Quality of life at the WinMag Web site will now be even better, thanks to a couple of recent upgrades. The latest version of BrowserTune 97, our exclusive, real-time browser test and tune-up kit, is out, and it offers more ways to tell you if your browser's up to snuff. We've also pumped up our server hardware and software, and spruced up our search engine to make your time at the WinMag site more pleasant.

BrowserTune 97's new features include an Internet pinger application that measures the live, round-trip connection between your browser and seven popular sites, and offers new tests for security features and streaming audio and video. The latest version also lets you view and edit a Web page's source code and simultaneously test multiple features to save time. All told, BrowserTune 97 includes almost 200 tests, making it the tool to help you maximize your Web experience. Get tuned for free at http://www.winmag.com/flanga/browsertune/.

Also, our behind-the-scenes efforts will help maximize your WinMag site visits. In addition to beefing up our server hardware and software to speed things up, we've revamped our search engine to make finding the information you need at WinMag even easier.
