Shed some light on your 3D animation projects with LightWave 3D 5.5. Its new interface allows you to adjust parameters interactively in real time. Buttons are color-coded for easy navigation. With OpenGL and Direct3D support, you can preview your textured models and animations. With volumetric rendering you are able to simulate light as a physical element, such as sunlight streaming through a window. With the advanced particle generator, you can create other atmospheric effects such as dust and smoke. By moving an on-screen slider, the Morph Gizmo adds visual morph ability to an object between several targets such as facial expressions and phonemes. This brings character animation and lip synching to life. The rendering engine now supports multithreaded rendering to take advantage of systems with multiple CPUs.
