Take advantage of ISDN capabilities with Jetstream Front Desk. Front Desk consists of three pieces: hub, display unit and manager. The hub is the size of a notebook computer and provides three analog telephone ports to connect phones, fax machines or modems. The system routes calls to the appropriate device. The hub also has ports for an ISDN line and the display unit, plus a PC serial connector.

The display holds a 4-line-by-20-character LCD screen with four function buttons. The manager is a Windows 95 application that provides call handling, routing and messaging capabilities. The program lets you manage multiple callers, handle calls by priorities, receive notification of waiting messages, access faxes remotely and become selectively reachable when out of the office. And, of course, the ISDN line provides faster network and Internet access. Other Front Desk telephony features include Caller ID, call waiting, distinctive ringing by number dialed and caller menus. The unit routes calls based on number dialed, Caller ID and time of day. Its voice mail capabilities include call screening, use of up to 10 mailboxes, 30 minutes of voice message storage and one-button call back.

Lexmark has introduced two new high-speed network laser printers and a color network laser printer. The Lexmark Optra Lxn+ prints at 8ppm at 1200dpi and 16ppm at 600dpi. It comes standard with 8MB of RAM, an Ethernet 10BaseT/2 network combo card and 500-sheet input capacity. The Lexmark Optra Rn+ also prints at 8ppm at 1200dpi and 16ppm at 600dpi, but comes with 4MB of RAM, a built-in Ethernet 10BaseT adapter and 200-sheet input capacity.

The Lexmark Optra C PRO color laser turns out color prints at 3ppm at 600dpi, and prints monochrome pages at 12ppm. The printer comes with 32MB of RAM, an Ethernet 10BaseT/2 card and a 250-sheet input capacity.
